WHAT:
Luxury menswear fashion designer Simon Spurr and Cisco will demonstrate the latest trends at the intersection of fashion and technology during New York Fashion Week, Sept. 9-16.
Simon Spurr will host a discussion with fans about his upcoming clothing line prior to its debut at Fashion Week during a free, live Web event via Cisco WebExTM. He will discuss the role that technology has played during the development of his forthcoming line, and will answer questions posed by attendees during a live Q&A session. This event is open to the public, including media and industry followers.
Simon Spurr is leveraging Cisco collaboration technologies to support his growing brand and transform the fashion design process from concept creation to supplier discussions. Creative uses of video include a digital sign in a Saks Fifth Avenue window display that offers passersby a view into his design process and runway footage, and other solutions including Cisco TelePresenceTM, WebEx® and Flip Video® camcorders that enable Simon Spurr to engage directly with customers and help accelerate his line's time to market. In addition, these tools allow Simon to immerse consumers in his brand as well as provide uncommon access to the designer himself. A post-Fashion Week "week in the life" video will illustrate Simon's design process and preparations for New York Fashion Week.
