SAN JOSE, Calif., October 31, 2006 - Cisco® today announced that it has been awarded a Gold Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award for its Mobile Learning Delivery Platform, developed in conjunction with Sify eLearning, the learning services practice of Sify Ltd. The Mobile Learning Delivery Platform enables Cisco's Quick Learning Modules to be read on handheld devices such as PDAs.

"Cisco engineers are constantly on the move, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco products," said Rick Stiffler, director of partner and customer learning services at Cisco. "Providing mobile professionals with quick and easy access to information is becoming increasingly important. We're honored to be recognized for these efforts and look forward to the continued development of the platform as a key training and enablement vehicle for Cisco employees in the field."

A Cisco Quick Learning Module (QLM) is a just-in-time, free online training component that aids in enhancing skills or completing a specific configuration task on newly released Cisco products. Cisco and Sify created a customized Macromedia Flash tool to develop and deliver the QLMs on the PDA platform that overcomes the screen area limitations.
