If you are an accredited member of the media (press agency or journalist) and you agree to follow the logo guidelines below then we will permit you to use the Cisco corporate logo to publish articles specifically pertaining to Cisco Systems, and its products or services. Any other use is not allowed without written permission.
The logo may not be copied, distributed or used apart from the article about the company or the applicable product or service. For example, you may not redistribute the logo in hard copy or electronic format or make it available online for others to copy.
Placement. The logos may only be used in close proximity to, or in obvious connection with, a published article or broadcast news story about Cisco Systems or a specific Cisco product or service.
Form and Size. The EPS logo, for print, must be used as provided with no changes except to proportionally resize the logo. Minimum width for the logo is .75-inches.
The GIF logo, for web use, must not be altered in any way. The logo may not be animated, morphed, or otherwise distorted in perspective or appearance. The GIF logo purposely does not include the circle-R symbol.
Spacing. Clear space around the logo is equal to the height of the longest tine in the bridge.
Background. Cisco has several different logos available for use -- including a 2 color logo, white logo, and black logo. Choose the 2-color logo or white logo based on the contrast and readability of the background color or pattern. Use the 2-color logo on white or light colored backgrounds. If the logo will appear on a black or dark background please knock all parts of the logo out to white.
Obtaining a Cisco logo
There are two ways for the media to obtain a logo for use:
1) Submit a Request Online
Logo requests by journalists can be submitted online at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/about/brand-center/logo-usage-guidelines.html. Logos requests submitted in this fashion will be sent within a maximum of 2 business days. You will receive a high-resolution format of the logo for use.
2) If a journalist is on deadline, contact a member of the Cisco Public Relations Team and they can e-mail you a logo for use in the format you require.
