As we head towards the year 2022, we approach the mobile zettabyte era—this means that global mobile data traffic will reach an annual run rate of 930 exabytes per year. One exabyte equals two to the sixtieth power bytes. A zettabyte equals two to the seventieth power bytes, showing that our data traffic is growing exponentially.
