Cisco’s Webex Hologram is an industry first, using 3D holograms to take virtual meetings to a whole new level. With 64 percent of employees agreeing that being able to work remotely directly affects whether they stay or leave a job (source: Cisco Hybrid Work Index), organizations are only too aware that they need to be able to offer a range of flexible working solutions. But that’s not always easy, particularly when teams need to get hands-on and interact with physical objects.

A Hybrid Workforce must be able to collaborate securely from anywhere, anytime. Webex Hologram is opening our minds to new ways of working together. Photorealism transforms an individual’s presence in a far more realistic way than, say, an avatar could. That’s because the hologram is, in effect, you, in real time, not an imagined representation. As holograms, presenters can share both physical content and digital content, co-creating and collaborating within a single, immersive, interactive, shared experience. Take a car manufacturer, for instance. Engineers can work together on a physical prototype of the vehicle and provide feedback on the design.
As cool as all that seems, Jeetu Patel, Cisco’s executive vice president and general manager for Security and Collaboration, put it into a wider context.
