SVP and Chief Data and Analytics Officer

Pallaw Sharma is the SVP, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Cisco, where he leads Cisco's enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy and execution. He is responsible for key data and analytics products and processes across Cisco globally, including Architecture, Platforms and Engineering, Master Data, Enterprise Metrics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. 

Pallaw has 20+ years’ experience creating and transforming businesses data and analytics platforms. With an extensive technical expertise in all aspects of product and customer lifecycles, he has led large, diverse, high-performing, global teams that have created significant business value by leveraging modern data platforms and processing infrastructure, software engineering, and AI.

Prior to Cisco, Pallaw was the Chief Data Science Officer at Johnson and Johnson (J&J). His team was focused on improving revenue, cost, and asset productivity by leveraging data and analytics across the company. He founded and led the J&J Data Science Council which drove improvement in company-wide data science capability. He represented J&J on the Innovation Board of GS1—a global standards body. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Annual American Business Award 2021 for Leading Through Digital Disruption.

Prior to J&J, Pallaw was the Chief Marketing and Analytics Officer for Sears Holdings, where his team was responsible for all aspects of data and analytics for the customer experience. Previously, Pallaw spent 10+ years with Microsoft leading large data and AI teams to improve outcomes in sales, marketing, services, and engineering.  

Pallaw holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Raipur, India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
