John Wunder

SVP, Global Renewals

As coach, leader, husband, and father, John Wunder wears many titles throughout his day. Now, as the Senior Vice President of Global Renewals in Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization, he has proven once again to be an agent of change and transformation. Creating, implementing, and driving Cisco’s entire renewals business strategy across all portfolios, John and his teams have generated billions in recurring revenue for the Silicon Valley tech giant. 

In his 22-year tenure at Cisco, John has held many leadership and sales roles from Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Sales Director to executive with a proven track record of sustainable growth and high performance. Using his knowledge, expertise, and insight, John transformed Cisco’s sales go-to-market strategy with his team to accelerate overall execution. As Vice President of Global Enterprise Segment, and VP of WW Sales, Strategy, Planning & Transformation, he led his team through aligned initiatives to create new global operating models, roles, sales plays, and other strategic sales go-to-market changes for Cisco.   

While his transformative work has been invaluable to Cisco’s overall growth and expansion, the customer was always top of mind for John. Which led him to drive Cisco’s Executive Sponsorship Program, Country Sponsorship Program, Global Customer Advisory Board, and customer & partnership satisfaction programs. Today, he continues to serve as an Executive Sponsor for several customers. 

Holding two degrees from the University of South Carolina, he is also an active board member for their International Business School and a mentor to other rising stars. As a former college football player, John spent much of his time either watching or coaching youth football, and basketball, in his local community. He has three adult children and resides in Inlet Beach, Florida, with his wife, Erin.
