Rachel Barger is Senior Vice President of the Americas, the largest of Cisco’s three geographic regions and responsible for approximately $37 billion in annual sales for the company. She leads a richly diverse and dynamic team that spans across 17 countries and six theaters (including Service Provider, Canada, Latin America, U.S. Commercial, U.S. Public Sector, and the Global Enterprise Segment). Through more than 20 years’ experience driving profitable growth and leading high-performing teams across EMEA and Asia Pacific, she brings a global perspective to delivering innovative approaches and driving an inclusive future for all.

Across the industry, Rachel is renowned for building strong customer and partner relationships, with proven success in change management, value realization, and driving business outcomes. By demonstrating the value of a growth mindset, she consistently inspires her team, partners, and customers to strive toward execution excellence.

In her previous role at Cisco, she led the Americas’ Global Enterprise Segment, Cisco’s largest sales theater which accounts for more than $8 billion in revenue and comprises more than 500 of the company’s top strategic clients.

Before joining Cisco, Rachel held services, customer success, and sales leadership positions across the technology sector. Most recently she was President and Managing Director for Southeast Asia at SAP, the world’s largest provider of enterprise application software. In this role she was responsible for one of SAP’s fastest growing markets, representing over €500 million of annual software revenue and more than 8,000 customers. Prior to that, she served at SAP as the Chief Operating Office for Asia Pacific and Japan, as well as Regional Vice President for SAP North America’s Southeast region market. Rachel has also held other leadership positions at Lithium and Ariba. Her ability to create a compelling vision for customers while executing with precision has led highly engaged teams to success. Rachel has worked with a breadth of customer industries, with special attention on manufacturing and the digital supply chain/industry 4.0.

Located in Atlanta, she holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
