As the leader of Cisco’s APJ Service Provider (SP) business, Vish drives the adoption of AI-ready infrastructure and next-generation network transformation across the region. His focus is on helping service providers evolve their networks, operations, and business models to meet the growing demands of AI, cloud, and digital services.
Aligned with Cisco's recent strategic pivot, his focus is on empowering customers and partners with AI-ready infrastructure that brings together next-generation networking, security, and observability capabilities to support evolving business and technology needs.
Drawing on a deep background in building carrier-class infrastructure, Vish specializes in partnering closely with Tier 1 providers and hyperscalers to develop new opportunities around GPU-accelerated managed services. His experience spans mobile, fixed, and cloud network environments, helping service providers modernize infrastructure while creating new avenues for monetization and differentiated customer experiences.
Previously, as the APJC leader for Architectures, Vish built high-performance teams that pioneered AI-driven networking, cloud, and security architectures. By guiding these teams through Cisco’s transition from hardware to software and subscription models, he accelerated enterprise AI adoption and supported the growth and evolution of Cisco’s architectural business across the region.
Vish works closely with telecommunications providers, enterprise customers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to support critical infrastructure initiatives and advance digital transformation across diverse markets.
Beyond his core business responsibilities, Vish is deeply committed to fostering the next generation of technology leaders and innovators through top-tier university collaborations. He builds closer connections between industry and academia by working with bodies such as the ITU and institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology, as well as NUS and INSEAD in Singapore. Through these partnerships, he helps nurture young minds and prepares the next generation of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven, AI-centric world.
