Vinod Peris is the Senior Vice President of Network Product Engineering, leading a global team responsible for developing enterprise-class Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Industrial IoT (IIoT) products. With deep expertise in networking and security, Vinod has driven innovation and growth across multiple industry-leading organizations.
Before Cisco, he was VP of Engineering at Juniper Networks, overseeing the development, delivery, and customer support of cloud-connected Wireless Access Points, Switches, Firewalls, and Routers. Prior to that, Vinod served as the Chief Development Officer at Constella Intelligence, a global leader in identity risk management. From 2019 to 2021, he was VP of Engineering and Operations at AttackIQ, a leading Enterprise Security Optimization Platform, where he built and scaled global development and operations teams, focusing on security attack simulation and cloud-based delivery.
Vinod originally joined Cisco in 2000 following the acquisition of Growth Networks. Over the next 15 years, he held a variety of engineering leadership roles, spearheading hardware and software development across multiple Cisco product lines in both the Service Provider and Enterprise segments.
An accomplished innovator, Vinod has authored numerous conference and journal publications and holds eleven U.S. patents. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.
