SVP and General Manager, Products & Technology, Splunk

Tom Casey is the Senior Vice President and GM, Products & Technology for Splunk, a Cisco company. He is responsible for evolving Splunk’s market-leading unified security and observability platform. Tom is a highly regarded technology leader and under his leadership, Splunk has dramatically accelerated its pace of product innovation across security, observability and AI. Throughout his tenure at Splunk Tom’s overriding focus has been to innovate and develop quickly, identify and capture more opportunities sooner, and ultimately ensure the digital resilience that all Splunk customers deserve.

Prior to joining Splunk, he served as Senior Vice President, Engineering, at DocuSign, where he led the company’s product strategy, including development, execution and delivery of all products worldwide. Prior to DocuSign, Tom served as Vice President, Platform and Infrastructure at Apptio, where he helped scale the company’s SaaS platform from a single offering to a multi-product portfolio. Before that, he spent 16 years at Microsoft in a number of leadership positions in product and engineering. He holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona, where he grew up enjoying the outdoors, an experience that spawned his passion for the environment.

Tom’s commitment to sustainability is present in both his personal and professional life. Now a resident of the Seattle area, he spends his weekends hiking, biking or kayaking in and around the Puget Sound. He has seen that people who experience the environment first-hand are more likely to be aware and take action to address climate change. He serves as executive sponsor of Splunk’s Earth Alliance, which gives Splunkers a way to learn about and take action on sustainability. He is adamant that business leaders have the opportunity and responsibility to leverage technology to reduce their carbon footprint and talks with customers regularly about how doing so can be a differentiator for their business.

Tom is a champion of diversity, inclusion and belonging within Splunk, serving as Executive Sponsor of the company’s Neurodiversity Employee Resource Group.
