Rakesh Dubey is a senior vice president of Cisco's Networking Engineering organization. In this role, he leads systems engineering for routing and switching teams for the Service Provider, Web, Data Center, and Optical Systems segments.
Rakesh is an industry veteran with expertise in networking and communications systems and product development. He first joined Cisco in 1996 with the acquisition of Granite Systems, a standards-based multilayer Gigabit Ethernet switching technology startup.
Throughout his career, he has worked for various telecommunications companies. He was SVP of Engineering at Juniper Networks, most notably leading the data center and campus switching, branch routing, and security products teams.
Rakesh holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT), and a master's degree in computer science from Washington State University, where he worked on theoretical computation.
