Odysseas Charalambous serves as a Senior Vice President and a distinguished member of the Global Sales Senior Leadership Team, where he spearheads GTM Sales Acceleration. In this critical role, he is responsible for accelerating Cisco's go-to-market strategy, identifying pivotal growth opportunities, and implementing transformational projects designed to significantly enhance sales capacity and streamline our GTM models globally.
With over 15 years of dedicated service at Cisco and more than three decades of extensive experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry, Odysseas has cultivated a distinguished career. Prior to his recent appointment, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer of EMEA, where he led Sales Acceleration and Strategy & Planning. Before this, he was instrumental in overseeing sales and technology specialists across 115 countries within EMEA. Earlier in his career, he successfully developed and led the regional theater encompassing Central, Eastern Europe, and Russia, bringing together 27 countries. He has been instrumental in establishing best practices for market coverage, optimizing resource allocation, and devising innovative go-to-market strategies that have consistently delivered significant business impact and growth across diverse markets.
Odysseas is known for his results-driven approach, sharp analytical acumen, and a proven track record in cultivating and leading high-performing teams. His understanding of technology, honed over a 30-year career in IT, spans extensive experience across the majority of EMEA countries.
He holds a Ph.D. in AI, specializing in Knowledge-Based Scheduling Systems for Manufacturing, and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from UMIST (UK). Additionally, he earned a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science and Economics and has pursued postgraduate studies in Finance and Accounting.
Odysseas is passionate about mentoring young talent. His personal interests include flying, diving, building intricate model airplanes, and the meticulous craft of fixing mechanical watches. Odysseas and his wife Alexia are proud parents of three adult children.
