Nathan Jokel leads the Corporate Strategy, Strategic Alliances, and Global Technology Standards teams at Cisco. Nathan works with Cisco’s Executive Leadership Team to drive Cisco’s overarching strategy, coordinate cross-company priorities, and manage Cisco’s most strategic partnerships.
Supporting Cisco’s long-term growth, the Corporate Strategy team advises on product and go-to-market strategy, enables new delivery and business models, and provides market insights and thought leadership. Nathan and his team partner with the General Managers of Cisco’s business units and senior functional leaders to help develop and execute their strategy, in alignment with the company’s overall strategic priorities.
The Strategic Alliances team manages Cisco’s most strategic partnerships, working closely with leaders across product, sales, and operations to influence and execute Cisco strategy and create new revenue opportunities.
The Global Technology Standards team influences the technical ecosystem in which Cisco products and services meet our customers, working to advance key technology standards initiatives in alignment with Cisco’s overall strategy.
Before leading the Corporate Strategy team, Nathan supported business strategy for Cisco’s $30B+ Networking & Security Business Group.
Prior to Cisco, Nathan was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he advised technology clients on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. Previously serving in several engineering roles at EMC Corporation (now Dell EMC), Nathan led software development teams in storage and virtualization technologies.
Nathan holds an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management, as well as BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he was a ‘Bay State Fellow.’
