Kunal Mukerjee

SVP and CTO, Splunk

Kunal Mukerjee is Chief Technology Officer for Splunk. His role is spearheading forward-looking technical innovation with emphasis on unifying product architecture and identifying synergies between Splunk and Cisco.

Before joining Splunk, Kunal was the Chief Architect of Docusign, where his leadership was pivotal in launching the transformative Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform, addressing complex business challenges at scale.

Kunal also had a long career at Microsoft, where he led research and product innovation for multiple lines of business, the most successful one being Power Platform spanning multiple services starting with Power BI.

Kunal's skill set encompasses R&D, leveraging AI to solve real business problems; massive scale and high-performance systems on public clouds, data-centric apps and services including databases and latency-critical algorithms. He has a track record of delivering technologies years before their time and growing high performing teams to sustainably run billion-dollar businesses - sometimes starting from the whiteboard.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Central Florida and a B.Eng (1st class honors) in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK.
