SVP, Splunk Global Sales

With over 20 years of executive sales leadership experience, Justin Barney currently serves as the SVP, Splunk Global Sales at Cisco. In this role, Justin is responsible for driving growth in revenue, maintaining pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy, driving cross-functional sales programs and initiatives, developing and implementing plans for business expansion, scaling through Partners and managing a global OPEX budget to grow profits.

Before taking on his current position, Justin served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Cisco ThousandEyes where he and the ThousandEyes team achieved extraordinary results—delivering greater than 20% ARR growth consistently over five years.

Justin joined Cisco in 2020 as Managing Director of the Global Routing and SD-WAN sales team and went on to serve as the Vice President of Global Enterprise Networking and Software Sales at Cisco. Prior to Cisco, Justin was the Chief Revenue Officer for Pulse Secure, a leading cybersecurity software company. From 2012 to 2018, he served as the CEO of ScaleArc, where he led its go-to-market strategy and operations. He’s also held sales leadership positions at Juniper Networks and Citrix Systems.

Justin earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from the University of Colorado, Boulder. While his primary career focus has been in technology, Justin has garnered a diverse background while working on Wall Street, earning his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and proudly serving in the US Marine Corps Reserve.
