Jeff Schultz is the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Marketing and Evangelism for Cisco’s product organization, reporting directly to Jeetu Patel, EVP and Chief Product Officer. Previously, Jeff served as VP, Chief Strategy Officer for Cisco’s Security and Collaboration group.
In his current role, Jeff leads a dynamic team responsible for driving cross-architecture product messaging across Cisco’s entire product portfolio. Jeff and his team articulate Cisco’s unique value proposition and differentiation to address the most critical challenges faced by customers. He works across business groups to align the portfolio vision and innovation roadmaps with broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and product positioning for sales, channels, and industry partners.
Jeff has held Chief Marketing Officer and other executive leadership positions in numerous early, mid, and late-stage companies, launching products and innovation in markets spanning security, collaboration, content management, observability, identity management, data warehousing, accounting, and online payments.
Before joining Cisco, Jeff was a VP of product, platform, and technical marketing at Splunk. He also held executive positions at Box, EMC, and Bill.com. As SVP Worldwide Marketing at Parlano (acquired by Microsoft), Jeff played a key role in introducing persistent group chat into enterprises. His career began in product development at Arthur Anderson & Co (now Accenture).
Jeff holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work Jeff is a soccer dad, avid photographer, Tae Kwan Do Blackbelt, and former marathoner and triathlete. He is actively involved in philanthropies committed to global health as well as science and engineering education. Jeff also sits on the external advisory board for the UT Austin Department of Electrical Engineering.
