Gordon Thomson
Gordon Thomson is SVP for Service Provider (SP) Sales in EMEA at Cisco.
The EMEA SP business is a $2bn product, software and service organisation that focuses on helping communication service providers build, operate and monetize next-generation networks. Thomson and his team identified and scaled new sales opportunities while focusing on specific customer needs across the region. He has also been one of the leading Cisco spokespeople for investor relations and analyst relations in EMEA.
Thomson joined Cisco in 1997 as an Account Manager in the UK. Since then he has held a number of EMEA and global positions, including Managing Director of EMEA Security Sales, Global Vice President of Intent Based Networking Sales and Vice President of EMEA Specialist Sales
In addition to his Cisco roles he has been chairperson of Edesix and the Glasgow Business Service, and a non-executive director of Sustainable Glasgow, Raploch Urban Regeneration Council and ScotlandIS.
Thomson is an active supporter of the Cancer Research UK charity and a local school for children with learning difficulties.
He is also a keen golfer.
