Emma Carpenter is the Senior Vice President of Recurring Revenue Acceleration. This global team is responsible for driving $12B+ of software and services revenue for Cisco. Known for being a transformational sales leader, Emma is taking this organization to the next level, streamlining the approach to retaining and growing our customer base. Working cross-functionally with our product, customer success, sales, specialist, and partners teams, our mission is to increase renewal rates, reduce attrition and drive growth.
Prior to her current role, Emma served as Chief Revenue Officer, Global Security Sales. Emma transformed and streamlined the 1700+ organization to better align to our customers and partners, bringing in new leadership to ultimately drive the number. Under her leadership, the Security sales go-to-market transformed into a platform-focused, offensive/hunting selling motion, establishing a rich foundation for growth. In her time leading the organization, Emma took the team from flat to double digit growth.
Before returning to Cisco to lead the Security Sales team, Emma was the VP of Global Service Provider/Managed Security Service Provider at Palo Alto Networks, where she and her team created and led a significant business to and through these customers and partners. Emma and her team were the primary customer interfaces and strategic drivers of industry-leading solutions, commercial models, and go-to-market motions for Service Providers & Managed Security Service Providers. In addition to Palo Alto, Emma has also held leadership positions at Cisco in services, networking and mobility and at Avaya in the UK and USA.
Emma and her husband Dan reside in Colorado with their two boys, currently in college. Emma has a passion for children’s welfare and is on the board of the ‘RFK Community Alliance’, a leading organization for child welfare and juvenile justice, which provides support for at-risk youth and families.
