David Meads is the Senior Vice President of Cisco Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, Romania and CIS Countries. In his role, David is responsible for leading Cisco’s strategy and commercial operations across 80 markets, while overseeing a diverse community of employees in the region.
He has more than three decades of experience across multiple business functions and geographies and is passionate about empowering governments, businesses and partners to harness the full potential of digital technologies – driving economic growth and competitiveness across developed and emerging markets.
He began his career with Cisco in 1996 and has held various leadership positions, including Chief Executive of Cisco UK & Ireland. Prior to that, as Vice President of Cisco’s EMEA Partner Organization, David developed strategic initiatives to help manage and support partners, who represent the company’s primary route to market.
David also spent 10 years in the Middle East and Africa, leading Cisco’s business in the region, and in Africa and South Africa, where he was instrumental in partnering with governments and businesses to build the technology skills and ecosystems that drive economic growth.
David is highly regarded for his technology expertise and understanding of market opportunities, as well as his track-record of operational excellence.
