Dave West leads Cisco's Global Specialists, a team of over 5,000+ experts at the intersection of go-to-market, engineering, and customer and partner relationships. As Senior Vice President, he ensures Cisco’s vast technology portfolio — spanning Security and Networking, Collaboration, AI Infrastructure and Connectivity — is deeply aligned with customer priorities and industry evolution.

Dave and team play a critical role in shaping the company’s innovation agenda, and are responsible for taking new technology from inception to mainstream maturity. By leveraging technical expertise and trusted partnerships, they deliver outcome-driven value and drive several of Cisco’s most strategic growth engines, including Full-Stack AI Infrastructure, Security and Network Modernization, and Intelligent Workplace Experiences.

With 25 years at Cisco and over three decades in the technology industry, Dave is defined by his ability to align global portfolios with the rapid evolution of customer needs. His leadership is rooted in building diverse, high-performing teams that don’t just implement technology, but drive digital transformation. His background —spanning executive roles across the APJC region to his tenure as a Marine Officer — gives him a unique perspective on strategy, execution, and operational excellence.

Dave graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, and holds an MS in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School.
