Bret Hull

SVP, Network Platform Engineering

Bret Hull is the Senior Vice President of Network Platform Engineering. He leads a worldwide organization encompassing software engineering, security, and product design. Bret has been at Cisco since 2010, serving in a variety of roles from early engineer to his current position on Networking senior staff.

Prior to Cisco, Bret was a researcher at MIT where he developed large-scale wireless distributed systems to advance research in database systems, delay-tolerant wireless networking, and opportunistic mobile sensing.

Bret earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering & computer science from U.C. Berkeley and a Masters and Ph.D. in computer science from MIT. Bret currently resides in San Francisco.
