Ben Dawson

SVP and President, Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China

Ben Dawson is the President of Sales for Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China (APJC) at Cisco. This business comprises seven organizations operating across a diverse set of markets: Australia and New Zealand, ASEAN, India and SAARC, Korea, Japan, Greater China, and Service Provider.

Dawson is responsible for Cisco APJC’s strategy, driving market leadership, and ensuring Cisco delivers the most trusted customer and partner experience in the industry.

He leads a talented team across sales, marketing, solutions engineering, and operations, and is committed to helping customers innovate using Cisco’s technology solutions across next generation networking, cybersecurity, and the critical infrastructure for AI. Dawson works closely with customers to help them navigate technology transitions and today, he is focused on helping them securely connect everything to make anything possible in the AI era.

Prior to his current role, Dawson led Cisco Australia and New Zealand where he worked with customers and partners to drive digital transformation and accelerate technology adoption. While leading the team, Cisco Australia was recognized as the country’s number one employer by Great Place to Work for five consecutive years. Prior to that, Ben was Vice President of Sales for Cisco’s Webscale business and managed Cisco’s strategy and relationships with some of the world’s largest web and cloud companies.

Since joining Cisco in 1998, he has served in a variety of sales roles across enterprise, public sector, commercial, channels and service provider in the US and Australia. Before Cisco, Dawson spent his career in sales with systems integrators and telcos.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Monash University in Melbourne. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Dawson lives with his wife in Singapore, and they are proud parents of two children.
