Alexandra (Alex) Lopez is Senior Vice President, and Chief Procurement Officer of Global Procurement Services at Cisco Systems, leading the organization responsible for the end-to-end buying ecosystem, including Cisco’s enterprise contingent workforce strategy and the continuous digital transformation evolution.
Alex is passionate about talent development, building deep business partnerships and teams, serving our communities, and empowering the underrepresented. This commitment is shown by serving as Board Member and Past President for the YWCA, a Silicon Valley non-profit community service organization, providing programs and services to women and girls, and through her ongoing mentoring relationships.
As a regular internal and external speaker at industry events and college campuses on topics ranging from procurement trends, leadership philosophies, and/or career experiences globally, Alex’s actions are mirrored throughout her own organization with global community involvement measured at 90%+ consistently year-over-year.
In 2023, Alex was named to Cisco’s Sustainability Council. Alex’s leadership has earned her several accolades, including ‘Top 10 Women in Procurement’ by Procurement Magazine (2022), the YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women Award (2019), and the World Procurement Leader Award (2017).
Prior to Cisco, Alex held executive leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Kaiser Permanente and Hewlett Packard where her focus was on financial and strategic planning and serving as the supply chain and procurement integration lead on key acquisitions.
Her executive experience covers a broad spectrum of functions and verticals including operations, sales, marketing, strategic planning, finance, supply chain, transportation, logistics, and banking.
