Agostino Santoni

SVP, Sales

Agostino Santoni is the Senior Vice President responsible for Cisco's Southern Europe, overseeing operations across Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Austria, Central Eastern Europe, and the Balkans, one of the most strategically diverse regions in Cisco's global footprint.

With more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Agostino is a recognized driver of digital transformation and innovation across European markets. In his current role, he leads Cisco's efforts to help governments, enterprises, and public institutions harness the power of AI and next generation networking technologies, while championing the principles of digital sovereignty that are increasingly central to Europe's technological agenda.

Under his leadership, the region has become a key reference for Cisco's AI-first strategy, translating global innovation into tangible outcomes for customers and partners across a broad and complex geography.

Agostino joined Cisco in 2012 as Country Manager of Italy, a role he held until 2021 before expanding his responsibilities to lead Southern Europe and, from 2024, a significantly enlarged territory spanning Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Prior to Cisco, he held senior positions at Hewlett-Packard following its merger with Compaq, where he had begun his career, and later served as Managing Director of SAP Italy.

A firm believer in the power of talent as the foundation of sustainable innovation, Agostino is an active supporter of Cisco's Networking Academy (NetAcademy), one of the world's largest IT skills-development programs, advocating for its role in equipping the next generation of technology professionals across Southern Europe.

His commitment to building inclusive digital ecosystems extends beyond Cisco: he currently serves as Trustee of the Cisco Foundation and holds board positions at Assolombarda, Digital Europe, and the Asphi Foundation, which focuses on digital inclusion for people with disabilities.

A prominent voice in Italy's digital policy landscape, Agostino has served as President of Assinform and Vice President of Confindustria with responsibility for digital innovation.

In 2025, the University of Calabria awarded him an honorary degree in Economics and Management in recognition of his contribution to Italy's and Europe's digital economy
