SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 11, 2012 – Cisco invites representatives of enterprise and government organizations attending the 13th edition of the annual International Common Criteria Conference (ICCC), in Paris on Sept. 18-20, to attend the speaking sessions presented by Cisco. The ICCC offers certification/validation strategies and evaluation laboratories, while enabling product developers, system integrators and product users to exchange expertise, experiences and skills on the application of Common Criteria and security for information and communications technology.
Governments worldwide need to ensure that the products they use meet key security criteria, are standards-based, perform as expected, and work with their existing technology. Common Criteria is an international standard for evaluating IT product security and assurance and is recognized by over 26 countries around the world. The standard drives mutual recognition of secure IT products and is considered a mandatory requirement for purchasing network security products by governments worldwide.
