NEW YORK and OSLO, Norway, March 17, 2010 - TANDBERG today announced that Todd Meister, vice president of Americas Channels, has been named a 2010 Channel Chief by the Everything Channel's CRN. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers. They consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.

Todd Meister joined TANDBERG in 2009 as vice president of Americas Channels, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in both manufacturing and reseller organizations. In the last year, he has led the Company in a total realignment of the TANDBERG Channel program and has launched several key initiatives to invest in the diverse TANDBERG Partner community through the TANDBERG envision Partner program (see enVision press release). Some of these strategic investments include:

  • Strategic investment programs to help Partners drive new product sales
  • Demonstration equipment investment programs to help reduce the barrier of entry and allow Partners to have the latest technology to showcase to customers and prospects
  • New modular training and certification programs that allow Partners to easily test out of areas they have competence in and complete targeted training on the areas they have gaps

For the eighth consecutive year the Channel Chiefs were chosen based by Everything Channel editorial on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.

"Todd's understanding of our Partners' unique needs has been instrumental to the successful realignment of the TANDBERG Americas Channel strategy," said Joel Brunson, president, TANDBERG Americas Public Sector. "Under his leadership, the Americas Partner program launched several key initiatives to bring the highest level of specialized services to customers - all without impacting partner profitability - and continues to look for areas of improvement. This has resulted in a stronger TANDBERG Partner community better equipped to serve our customers in both commercial and public sector verticals."

"Being named a Channel Chief is one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry.  This year's Channel Chiefs offers tremendous insight into the who's who of the Channel," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel.  "Top channel executives consistently ensure that the Channel's voice is heard when strategic decisions are being made and continually nurture mutually profitable relationships.  We applaud the 2010 Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies."
