RIYADH, Saudia Arabia, January 20, 2008 - HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Chairman of Rotana Audiovisual and Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, today conducted a meeting with John Chambers, chairman and CEO of Cisco in Riyadh to discuss future collaboration and the adoption of innovative technologies across the company's Rotana Entertainment division.
The two companies today worked toward a collaboration to expand the global reach of Rotana's media content through a new platform for service providers, which will take advantage of Cisco's Content Delivery System and IPTV architectures. By building strategic relationships with real estate developers, service cable and triple-play providers across the world, Rotana's customers will be able to utilize the new platform to support delivering high-definition picture quality and generate new revenue streams through expanded content availability and targeted advertising.
