Cisco Launches "Cisco Live" Building on Success of Networkers Customer Conference

Expanded Networkers Conference Extends Reach and Provides New Offerings

SAN JOSE, Calif. - May 7, 2007 - Cisco today launched a new customer event, "Cisco Live" incorporating its popular Cisco Networkers Conference while adding new content, new speakers and new audiences.

This event brings together Cisco customers across all business segments and industries to present visionary technology directions, new products and best practices. Longtime Cisco loyalists will find new and exciting content, and customers new to Cisco will find content tailored to their particular industries and technology interests.

"Cisco is evolving its Networkers Conference to reflect exciting new developments, not just in the industry, but with our customers, partners and our company," said Sue Bostrom, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. "Our expanded content, qualified speakers and advanced technical training will create an enhanced experience for all attendees this year," Bostrom said.

Keynotes will include John Chambers; Michael Bay, producer/director of the upcoming "Transformers" movie; and actor/entertainer, John Cleese. Speakers from AT&T, Boeing, Sprint, Bank of America, Sutter Health,, New Orleans Public Schools, The Regus Group, MTM Luxury Lodging, Albuquerque Film Studios, and others will share how they are successfully deploying Cisco solutions, and will cover topics of interest such as:

  • Industry specific best practices
  • Data management, security and cost control
  • Measuring ROI and creating performance benchmarks

Super Sessions - a leadership session platform with Cisco executive management - will cover broad industry trends and opportunities over the next five years.

Another significant program addition is the IT Insights Forum, a 2-day program which addresses corporate vs. IT goals. Other highlights include "Cisco Live Connect" an online social networking tool and Entertainment at the Customer Appreciation Event will be provided by KISS.

Now in its 18th year, the Cisco Networkers Conference has evolved into the premier event in the industry. 'Cisco Live' will continue the legacy of offering unparalleled technical training covering more than 200 sessions, techtorials, labs, and certification testing. The conference is expected to attract an international audience of over 10,000 attendees to the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, from July 22 to 26, 2007.
