Sprint Powers Up at CTIA Wireless 2007 with Showcase of Mobility Solutions

ORLANDO, Fla. (CTIA Wireless 2007) - March 27, 2007

WHAT:     Sprint (NYSE: S) is showcasing new and emerging mobility capabilities as part of its activities at CTIA Wireless, March 27-29 in Orlando, Fla. Sprint is located on the exhibit floor, booth number 2987. Visitors to the booth will have access to a breadth of products and services that give customers the power to enjoy great value and unmatched wireless capabilities on Sprint's powerful network. Highlights include:

Network

Sprint Mobile Broadband Revision A - Sprint customers at CTIA Wireless and throughout the Orlando area will join the 140 million people in more than 5,400 communities who can enjoy access to the upgraded Sprint Mobile Broadband Network, which provides users faster data speeds and the ability to ultimately use richer applications and services such as high-speed video telephony, music-on-demand, video messaging and large file uploads. The industry's largest mobile broadband network in Orlando and other upgraded markets will allow customers to experience significantly faster average data speeds comparable to some DSL offerings. Sprint's upgraded mobile broadband network was awarded the coveted PC Magazine Editors' Choice Award, selected by a panel of PC Magazine editors and leading industry experts.

Today, Sprint will also launch Revision A in and around the Cleveland; Knoxville, Tenn.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Chicago; and Richmond, Va. markets. By the end of April, Sprint expects to upgrade more than two dozen additional major markets to the faster EV-DO Revision A technology. Once these markets are complete, Sprint will reach more than 190 million people with EV-DO Revision A.

WiMAX - Sprint will announce new Mobile WiMAX network initiatives, expansion of its partner ecosystem and access device developments. Booth visitors can also experience a demonstration of concept applications running on WiMAX such as interactive multiplayer gaming, personal digital content, IPTV and video on demand.

Devices

Sprint Mobile Broadband EV-DO Rev-A Devices - As Sprint's Mobile Broadband coverage continues to expand, so does its industry-leading device portfolio with the addition of its newest EV-DO Revision A-capable USB modem - the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 595U. This new device will be available next month in Sprint sales channels, including retail stores and www.sprint.com, and can be purchased for as low as $49.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement and $50 mail-in rebate. The AirCard AC595U will support both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as have the power to utilize Sprint Location Services through an enhanced version of the Sprint Connection Manager software. The Sierra AC595U complements Sprint's other Rev. A capable devices which include: three PCMCIA Type II Mobile Broadband cards: the Novatel Wireless S720, Sierra Wireless AirCard AC595 and Pantech PX-500; the Novatel Wireless U720 USB Modem and the Novatel EX720 Express Card.

Cisco 3G Integrated Services Router - Experience the power of the Sprint mobile broadband network, now through the new Cisco® 3G Wireless WAN (WWAN) High-speed WAN Interface Card (HWIC) solution used within the Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISRs). Superior speeds offered by Sprint's mobile broadband network serve as primary or backup access for business branch offices and temporary locations demanding anytime, anyplace highest availability access to business-critical applications through rapid deployment. Sprint has been testing the Cisco 3G WWAN HWIC solution on its network, conducting customer trials and plans to launch it commercially during the summer of 2007.

Embedded Solutions - As a leader in embedded EV-DO solutions, Sprint is demonstrating its latest advancements in rugged and ultra-mobile devices with embedded Sprint Mobile Broadband connectivity. Featured products include an ultra-mobile laptop from OQO; rugged and ultra-lightweight laptops from Dell, Panasonic and Sony; and the new Motion LE1700 Tablet PC. Additionally, Sprint will be displaying machine-to-machine devices - including Airlink and Digi which are certified for operation on the high-speed EV-DO Rev. A technology - for use in wireless WAN, telemetry and fleet management solutions.

Sprint Vision Phone SCP-7050 by Sanyo - With the rollout of the Sprint Vision Phone SCP-7050 by Sanyo, Sprint demonstrates its leadership position as the #1 wireless provider of U.S. Mil Spec 810F compliant phones, GPS solutions and wireless solutions for business. As the first 810 mil spec compliant device for use on the Sprint National Network, the SCP-7050 by Sanyo meets strict military specifications for dust, shock and vibration and features a durable clamshell form factor with a rubberized, no-slip surface. Sprint business customers will find added value with the handset's support for autonomous GPS, which enables location information to be gathered while a user is off the Sprint network. Certified business applications for this handset include Sprint Mobile Locator, Xora, ActSoft, TeleNav and GearWorks. Additional key features include Sprint Vision services, Bluetooth® technology, and a speakerphone. Sprint plans to begin making the SCP-7050 by Sanyo available in early April in Sprint Stores, Sprint business channels and online at www.sprint.com for $149.99 with a two-year service agreement.

Applications

Sprint Navigation - Sprint customers soon will have the power of a new robust GPS-enabled navigation service included at no additional charge in select Sprint data packs. Sprint Navigation powered by TeleNav will give customers the power of a full-featured GPS navigation device on select Sprint phones, and unlimited use of Sprint Navigation will be included in the new Sprint Power Vision Navigation Pack. In addition, Sprint customers who subscribe to other Sprint data packs will have access to Sprint Navigation for just $2.99 per day.
