China Mobile Signs Agreement with Cisco for US$ 10 Million in Services

LOS ANGELES, April 6, 2006 - Cisco Systems® today announced that Cisco and China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) have signed a Framework Agreement for the purchase of Cisco data networking services at an estimated total amount of $10 million (USD). Under the agreement, CMCC will deploy Cisco services to support its infrastructure development in the coming year.

CMCC and Cisco will continue their cooperation in the field of Networking products and services in 2006. Cisco will provide leading edge products and state-of-the-art services for CMCC.

Established on April 20, 2000, CMCC boosts the most comprehensive mobile network in the world with the largest subscriber base. With the issuance of 3G licenses in China, CMCC expects to increase its 3G investment by 85 percent to $14 billion (USD).
