Cisco Demonstrations at Booth 1065
Cisco showcases innovative, new technologies and solutions that will allow cable operators to create new services, generate revenue, and reduce capital and operating expenses. Demonstrations include:

Enhanced PacketCable Voice and Multimedia Communications: Demonstration of advanced, SIP-enabled, residential voice and multimedia communications services such as video telephony and set-top-box integration. Cisco products to be demonstrated are among the first to obtain PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) 1.1 approval last month, including 2 Linksys E-MTAs and the Cisco MGX8880 media gateway. With earlier PacketCable-qualifications on the Cisco BTS10200 Softswitch and Cisco uBR10012 and uBR7246VXR universal broadband routers, Cisco offers a full range of products supporting PCMM.

DOCSIS Set-top Gateway (DSG): Demonstration of advanced mode DSG. With soon-to-be-released Cisco IOS software that also includes admission control, advanced traffic engineering, and PCMM support on Cisco communications-grade CMTSs, operators can lay the groundwork to deploy unique, next-generation multimedia services and converge voice, video, and data traffic on a standards-based IP network.
