Cisco Systems Canada Reshapes Leadership Team, Adds Industry Veteran to Drive Market Growth

Management team organized to drive growth strategy with focus on vertical, commercial and service provider markets

TORONTO, Canada - June 30, 2005 - In a move to align the organization to focus on long-term growth, Cisco Systems Canada today announced the reorganization of its senior management team. It also announced a recognized industry leader, Olaf Krahmer, will join the Canadian management team to lead its service provider business.

"It is crucial for Cisco to stay close to our customers and the market forces that drive their success and our business in Canada. To this end, we have re-shaped our management structure to align to market demands, develop our expertise in key vertical industries and drive growth in the SMB and service provider markets," said Terry Walsh, president of Cisco Systems Canada. "We have built a team of experienced executives with strong backgrounds in the technology sector. We believe our market focus combined with their leadership will drive even greater success with our customers, partners and employees."

  • Olaf Krahmer, vice-president, Service Providers. Mr. Krahmer has joined Cisco from Siemens Canada where he served most recently as vice-president, carrier networks. He brings more than 15 years of industry experience and will manage Cisco's business with Canadian telecommunications service providers, cable companies, Internet service providers (ISPs), wireless providers and utilities.
  • Ross Pellizzari, vice-president, Channel. Formerly vice-president, Enterprise Sales, Central Region, Ross brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role in working with Cisco's partner community.
  • Steve Simmons, vice-president, Commercial Accounts. Formerly vice-president Channel and Commercial Operations, Steve will now focus exclusively on growing Cisco business in its fastest growing market, the commercial (or small and medium business) segment.
  • Michel Houde, vice-president, Public Sector. As former vice-president, Enterprise Sales, Eastern Region, Michel will build on his success working with the Quebec provincial government to drive success with Federal and Provincial government organizations. He will also maintain responsibility for Cisco's Eastern region operations in Quebec, Ottawa and the Maritimes.
  • Gilles St.Hilaire, vice-president, Enterprise Strategic Accounts. Formerly vice-president Enterprise Sales, Western Region, Gilles will now focus on bringing his record of achievement to this national sales role. He will be responsible for working with Canada's largest private sector businesses. He will also maintain responsibility for Western Canadian regional operations.
