Cisco Systems Appoints Young-Jin Son as Country Manager for Korea

SEOUL, Korea - March 30, 2005 - Cisco Systems® has appointed Young-Jin Son as the Country Manager for its operations in Korea. Son has over 20 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry with several reputable multinational companies.

With his strong management background in the IT industry, Son is expected to make a significant contribution to Cisco® Korea with a particular focus on reinforcing the company's commitment to Korea.

Prior to joining Cisco, Son was the country manager of Microsoft Korea, where he gained recognition for his leadership skills and innate ability to motivate his staff. Son also led the enterprise business division for Microsoft where he helped to strengthen Microsoft's position in the corporate sector.

Son started his career in at IBM Korea in 1983 and has worked for companies such as Compaq, Sun Microsystems, Data General, BMC and Gupta/Centura. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in German Linguistics from Seoul National University.
