AUCKLAND, New Zealand, December 3, 2004 - SellAgence Ltd, a leading New Zealand brand management company, has implemented an Internet Protocol (IP) Communications Solution from Cisco® to help it more effectively communicate with its customers and staff.
Auckland-based SellAgence provides a suite of market management services in New Zealand for global brands such as Gillette, Braun and Duracell. SellAgence has 100 employees.
SellAgence executive chairman Kerry Gleeson said; "SellAgence recently undertook a strategic review of our information technology and communication operations. We realized that the adoption of an IP-based communications network, replacing legacy systems, would help the business to cost-effectively improve communication links internally and between our staff and customers. We chose Performance Solutions' IPFX solution with Cisco Systems® IP telephony hardware and GDC as the systems integrator."
SellAgence now has one network for voice, video and data transmission, based on IP. The network is more scalable, flexible and easier to centrally manage than the separate networks for voice and data which SellAgence had previously used.
For instance, the IP network efficiently and intelligently routes phone calls to the most appropriate people in the organization, helping to increase customer service and reduce waiting times. It also provides unified messaging facilities, which helps improve customer service by providing more relevant information to a SellAgence contact centre employee receiving an incoming phone call from a customer.
All users have an IPFX professional application suite, which allows voicemail, unified messaging, presence management, live directories and computer telephony integration (CTI), all fully integrated on Lotus Notes personal computer desktops.
The installation began with the deployment of the IPFX solution, encompassing three Cisco 3550 Catalyst ® switches and a 1760-V voice-capable router at SellAgence's Auckland head office. IPFX CTI clients and Cisco 7912 and 7940 IP phones were installed in the second phase of the project.
SellAgence now also has three Cisco ATA-186 2-port analogue adaptors, for faxes and analogue devices.
Cisco New Zealand country manager David Barker said; "SellAgence is the type of nimble business which is the heart of the New Zealand economy. SellAgence is able to use the best of world-class Internet Protocol technology to enable their business to run more effectively. Cisco is very pleased to work with Performance Solutions to provide solutions to help SellAgence better serve its customers."
