Cisco Systems Appoints Luichi Robles as Country Manager for Philippines Operations

MANILA, Philippines - November 3, 2003 - Cisco Systems, Inc., announced today the appointment of Luichi Robles as Country Manager for its operations in the Philippines. Reporting to Frankie Sum, Regional Managing Director for North Asia, Mr Robles will have responsibility for driving Cisco's sales and marketing operations in the country.

Mr Robles joins Cisco® with a 20 year track record in a diverse range of roles from sales and marketing to operations and management. He has also developed good working relationships with Cisco's key service provider and enterprise customer segments.

Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Robles was the Director of Network and Service Providers at Hewlett-Packard where he maintained key relationships with PLDT, Globe Telecom, Smart and Digitel. Prior to that, he was the Director of Compaq's Enterprise Business Unit where he led a team that supported Compaq's key product lines to customers in the telco, financial services and cross-industry segments.

Mr. Robles started his career with IBM Philippines and has worked for Online Advanced Systems, a 100% Filipino-owned systems integrator, local service provider, Islacom and Universal Telecoms, a start-up company that provides trunked radio service.
