KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - August 5, 2002 - Cisco Systems, Inc., announced today the appointment of Johnson Khoo as Managing Director for Malaysia. Reporting directly to Bill Chang, Regional Managing Director of ASEAN, Khoo brings over 15 years of experience in the Malaysian IT industry to his new role. He will be responsible for all of Cisco's sales and marketing activities in the country.

Prior to joining Cisco, Khoo was a sales director in Oracle Corp. where he spent eight successful years as a part of the sales team in Malaysia and eventually leading the operations. He has also established strong relationships in key vertical industries such as the Financial Services Industry, Education, Government and Manufacturing and Distribution and Telecommunications.

"Johnson has an excellent track record with his previous companies and is closely aligned with Cisco's focus on customer satisfaction. His many years of experience in the IT industry will be a boost for us in the market. Johnson has also proven to be a strong leader, a savvy strategist with sound operational skills and a good team player," said Chang.

Some of the other companies that Khoo has worked for in the past include The ASK Group/Computer Associates International, AT&T and Intel. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the National University of Singapore.
