TORONTO, ON - August 22, 2002 - Pierre-Paul Allard, president, Cisco Systems Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Rebus as the new vice-president of Canadian enterprise and small and medium business (SMB) operations. In his new role, Mr. Rebus will be responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing, finance and support activities in the Canadian enterprise and SMB markets.

An eight-year Cisco veteran, Mr. Rebus previously held the role of director, Canadian channel operations.

As vice-president of Canadian enterprise operations, Mr. Rebus' primary responsibility will be to drive revenue through sales of Cisco products to small, medium and large businesses. Specifically, he will be responsible for all field sales, marketing, productivity and support programs necessary to enable the achievement of projected growth at Cisco Systems Canada in the coming years.

An 18-year-industry veteran, Mr. Rebus brings a broad knowledge of the high tech industry and a track record of success.

Mr. Rebus joined Cisco in November 1994 as Capital Region Manager and moved to Toronto in 1997 to assume the leadership of the Canadian channel operation. Prior to joining Cisco, he spent 11 years at IBM. His past experience includes leadership roles in system engineering, product marketing and sales management.

Mr. Rebus holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Ottawa.
