Cisco Systems to Host "Innovation Through Convergence Exposition April 3-5, 2002"

Who: Cisco Systems, Inc. and a variety of Cisco customers and XML software vendors and developers. including: Vytek, Berbee and Circata. Cisco customers in attendance will include: Safeway Stores, Continental Airlines, Fredrick Schools, Northwest Health Systems, University of Arizona, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, City of Dallas and Cray Computers.

What: Cisco Systems will host the Innovation Through Convergence Exposition, featuring the XML Challenge. More than 60 exhibitors, members of the Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data (Cisco AVVID) Partner Program, are expected to attend this event and demonstrate a wide variety of XML-based telephony applications in the following vertical markets: Healthcare, Hospitality, Higher Education, K-12, Retail and Distribution, Customer Care, Banking and Finance, and State and Local Governments.

The XML Challenge is a competition among the exhibitors with awards to be issued to XML software vendors who demonstrate the "Most Innovative" XML application, the "Best of Show" application, and the "Developer's Choice" application. James Richardson, Cisco's chief marketing officer, will deliver a keynote address on the topic of XML applications at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
