Cisco Systems Promotes Bill Chang to Regional Managing Director in Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE -- 7 August 2001 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., announced today the promotion of Bill Chang to Regional Managing Director for Brunei, Indochina, Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore. Reporting directly to Gary Jackson, Vice President of Asia Operations, Chang was previously the Managing Director of Singapore.

With his expanded role, Chang will now have responsibility for driving Cisco's sales and marketing operations in one of the company's most exciting markets.

"Bill Chang has an excellent track record in the IT industry. As a result of his leadership in the past two years as Managing Director of Singapore, the country is now one of Cisco's strongest markets," said Gary Jackson, Vice President of Asia Operations for Cisco Systems.

"The Southeast Asian region holds tremendous opportunities as governments and enterprises here build their Internet and networking infrastructures. Bill's leadership, customer focus and technology awareness, will be an important value-add for our customers and partners in the region."

Chang has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Cisco, he was with Hewlett-Packard where he held a number of senior sales and management positions.
