Cisco Announces Program to Connect with Homebuilders

Cisco's Connected Communities program helps developers integrate the Internet Lifestyle into master planned communities

ATLANTA, GA - February 9, 2001, International Builder's Show - Cisco Systems announced today its Connected Communities program, an initiative that enables homebuilders to incorporate the Internet Lifestyle into their newly planned communities.

As a participant in Cisco's Connected Communities program, developers and builders will benefit from Cisco's leadership position within the networking industry. By facilitating relationships between builders and Cisco Powered Network service providers, home integrators and solution providers, Cisco will help to educate builders and developers on the benefits and opportunities of utilizing Internet technologies throughout master planned communities. With this program, builders will now be able to maximize their time and resources when planning customized home networking solutions.

In a related announcement today, the following developers announced their participation in Cisco's Connected Communities program, naming specific master planned communities as Cisco Connected Communities:
