  • What:Cisco Systems, Inc. market-leading Next Generation DSLAM, the Cisco 6160 IP DSL Switch, and the Cisco 6400 Carrier-Class Broadband Aggregator are being featured at the 2001 International CES in Las Vegas, supporting the DSL Forum's Interoperability Showcase.

    DSL Forum's Interoperability Showcase is demonstrating third-party customer premise equipment (CPE) interoperability with DSL equipment. Together, the Cisco 6160 IP DSL Switch and the Cisco 6400 Carrier-Class Broadband Aggregator will feature true end-to-end, IP+ATM DSL capabilities and interoperability with third-party CPE.

    In November, Synergy Research Group issued an independent report that named the Cisco IP DSL switches and the Cisco suite of broadband aggregators as number one in the Next Generation DSLAM and worldwide broadband aggregation markets. The Cisco 6160 IP DSL Switch provides IP-based, managed data, voice and video capabilities-delivering the industry's broadest, most feature-rich set of managed IP+ATM multi-service applications on one platform.
