SAN JOSE, Calif., December. 12, 2000 - Cisco Systems, Inc., today announced it has completed the acquisition of CAIS Software Solutions (CAISsoft) of San Diego, Calif., formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of CAIS Internet, Inc.

On Oct. 20, 2000, Cisco announced a definitive agreement to acquire CAIS Software's broadband subscriber management software business. The acquisition enhances Cisco's strategy of offering complete broadband connectivity solutions for service providers addressing the multi-unit building market. This acquisition is being accounted for as a purchase.
