SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., November 17, 2000 - Pagoo , a leading provider of comprehensive IP-based voice applications software and services, announced today that it has been accepted into the Cisco New World Ecosystem Program to deliver scalable Voice-over-Broadband (VoB) solutions to key service provider market segments. Pagoo has been designated both a Cisco Powered Network provider as well as an Ecosystem partner. Pagoo also announced that it has released its latest client software version, which can more easily be customized with new features and which dramatically improves voice clarity for end users.

"We are pleased to welcome Pagoo, a leader in next-generation, open architecture Voice over Broadband services, to the Cisco New World Ecosystem," said Alistair Woodman, Director of Marketing, Packet Telephony Division at Cisco. "By utilizing technology from Cisco and other market leading partners, Pagoo will offer a turnkey, seamless solution to service providers."

"Cisco's high-performance, customer-focused, reliable and secure hardware and network services are key components of Pagoo's solutions," said John "Joc" Jacquay, Chairman and CEO of Pagoo. "There is a huge market opportunity for Voice over Broadband, and we look forward to furthering our relationship with a demonstrated leader such as Cisco. Our participation in the Cisco New World Ecosystem means our customers will be able to quickly tap into the VoB market and generate high margin additional revenue."

As an Ecosystem partner, Pagoo will work with Cisco to deliver comprehensive IP-based phone solutions. Broadband providers, CLECs, cable operators and Internet Service Providers can offer private-label IP phone services to consumers within a matter of weeks by implementing Pagoo's Broadband Voice Express. These service providers can generate additional revenue per customer, improve customer loyalty and differentiate themselves from their competitors. Pagoo's technology platform eliminates the requirement for service providers to install equipment at a central office, invest in IP network hardware, or rewire customers' premises. End customers can get a personal phone number instantly online, make and receive phone calls over IP and have voicemail, Caller ID, Follow Me call forwarding, and web-based real-time account management.

This fall, Pagoo announced an agreement with Tiscali, a leading Internet Service Provider and one of Europe's fastest-growing companies. Pagoo has provided Tiscali with its Internet Voice ExpressTM, enabling them to deploy a wide range of Internet phone services under the Tiscali brand. Pagoo recently released to Tiscali the new version of its end user software that integrates an open H.323 stack. This new version can be more easily customized with new features and significantly improves usability and sound quality for the end consumer. Pagoo has also responded, with this software, to Tiscali's need for banner advertising support. The new release includes an html web-page viewer where any standard banner ad can be displayed

Pagoo provides solutions tailored to match the needs of their customers, from the regional DSL reseller to the largest global carrier. Under an ASP model, Pagoo hosts the entire service, from providing the VoIP network, to a customized end user application, billing and customer service. Pagoo also licenses its software to customers, in which case the customer typically hosts part of the solution, such as the VoIP network, billing, support and other localized activities while Pagoo provides and manages the software architecture.

Pagoo has developed all application layer technology, including event management software and end customer interfaces, and partners with leading companies, NetCentrex and Genuity, for call control signaling and the VoIP network, respectively. By working with best of breed partners Pagoo delivers the highest quality solution tothe service provider. Running on top of Cisco's industry-leading voice gateways and built with Microsoft components, Pagoo Trident is an open standard VoIP architecture and interoperable with the NetCentrex platform and compatible with other Cisco-based VoIP networks. The Pagoo Trident architecture serves as the hub of the customers' VoIP solution, managing all calling events and eliminating the need to invest in hardware at each POP in order to coordinate across the network.

Pagoo's participation in the Cisco New World Ecosystem program demonstrates its ability to provide next-generation technology and solutions. A benefit of the program for Pagoo is their participation in joint marketing, technology sharing, and selling activities with Cisco.
