Sept. 12, 2000, Reston, Va. - eStara today announced that it has launched a trial of its innovative web voice solutions using Voice over IP technology from Cisco Systems. eStara's One Click Contactsm solutions use the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), an Internet standard for delivering voice and data in real-time over the Internet and IP networks.

"eStara is pleased to test Cisco's new SIP-enabled Voice Gateways in our OneClick Contactsm web voice solutions," said Tom Natelli, eStara's Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO. "As an early adopter of SIP, eStara has been able to accelerate deployment of our leading edge web voice solutions. By demonstrating interoperability with Cisco products, we are also able to open our service to all of Cisco's enterprise and service provider customers," Natelli added.

Using Cisco's industry-leading Voice Gateways, eStara has developed leading edge web voice solutions that give eBusiness the power of instant web voice communication to boost online revenues. eStara's OneClick Contactsm product suite enables eBusinesses to create live connections with Internet users through web pages, ad banners, email and search engine links.

"eStara's new web voice solution is an excellent example of how Cisco's industry-leading voice gateways can be used to deliver new services," said Alistair Woodman, director of marketing for Cisco's Packet Telephony Division. "By taking advantage of the support for SIP in the Cisco Open Packet Telephony architecture, eStara is able to quickly bring innovative applications combining voice and data to eBusiness customers."

eStara customers can instantly connect a crisp, clear voice call over the Internet from any PC with a microphone and speakers to any business with a telephone or call center. By adding Cisco Voice Gateways, eBusinesses are able to efficiently transfer voice and data transmissions between the web and the public switch telephone network (PSTN).
