SAN JOSE, Calif. - September 13, 2000 - Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, will deliver a keynote at the upcoming Networld + Interop 2000's ASP Summit conference in Atlanta, GA, on September 27 at 11:45am ET.
Eugene Lee, vice president of marketing for the Cisco Internet Communications Software Group (ICSG) will talk about how the Application Service Provider (ASP) phenomenon is more about economies of skills than economies of scale and how each piece of the ASP ecosystem should focus on its core competency.
Mr. Lee during his keynote: "ASPs: Economies of Skills, not Economies of Scale," will debate that as the ASP market explodes, it is no longer a matter of what companies deliver, but how well they deliver it. He will address critical market drivers and technology-enablers that are shaping the direction of the ASP market and discuss the emerging business models, best practices and latest technologies that are empowering ASPs and Application Infrastructure Providers (AIPs) to deliver a quality end user experience.
