BATON ROUGE, Louisiana-August 29, 2000 - Network Technology Group, Inc. (NTG) today announced it is offering four network services over a Cisco designed and supported platform. The initial services, web hosting, co-location, dedicated Internet and dial access, are the first of several service provider platform and network announcements NTG is making en route to becoming a major ASP player in the southeast U.S.

NTG's web hosting, co-location, dedicated Internet and dial access services are based on an end-to-end Cisco infrastructure and have therefore achieved Cisco Powered Network status. The Cisco Powered Network designation assures NTG's customers that their hosting and connectivity needs are being met through a network powered by high-performance, customer-focused, reliable and secure infrastructure including Cisco Catalyst 6509 switches, Cisco 7206 VXR routers and Cisco AS5300 data access servers.

"Cisco shares our vision that the IP network is the foundation for delivering business solutions that will provide our customers with a strategic competitive advantage," said Scott R. Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of NTG. "By deploying Cisco's market leading technology, we're confident we have the highest quality network architecture and support to enable our ASP services. Our customers will benefit from end-to-end reliability and quality of service for their hosting services and connectivity needs."

"NTG's decision to deploy a Cisco infrastructure to deliver its hosting and Internet access services shows that they are committed to reliability and to giving their customers industry-leading technology solutions and services," said Kevin Outcalt, senior director of service provider marketing for Cisco. "NTG is a progressive company that recognizes the competitive advantages of deploying Cisco Powered Network services and Cisco is pleased to welcome them as a new Cisco Powered Network member."

As a Cisco Powered Network member, NTG can participate in joint marketing and technology sharing activities with Cisco.
