SINGAPORE -- 29 May 2000 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, has designated StarHub Internet, a leading Singapore Internet Access Service Provider (IASP), a Cisco Powered Network provider, placing StarHub Internet on a firm foundation to offer innovative, and reliable services to its customers. StarHub Internet is the first IASP in the country to join the Cisco Powered Network program, which was developed by Cisco to identify service providers that offer the highest levels of quality and reliability.

Joining an elite group of over 333 service providers worldwide, StarHub Internet achieved the designation only after a rigorous assessment of its end-to-end network architecture based on Cisco's data center, Wide Area Network (WAN), Last Mile and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) solutions.

StarHub Internet's end-to-end Cisco Powered Network continues to play a crucial role in its ability to meet and exceed the needs of corporate customers where network quality and reliability are crucial to their day-to-day operations. The company was also recently recognized as the 'ISP of the Year' at the recent Internet World Asia Industry Awards 2000.
