NEC BNS Extends Relationship with Cisco to Accelerate the Delivery of Cisco's New World Software Platform

DALLAS, TX and SAN JOSE, CA - May 23, 2000 - NEC America, Inc. and Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced that NEC Business Network Solutions, Inc. is the first in a new breed of system integrators and resellers that will sell and deploy complete next-generation, customer contact infrastructure solutions combining Cisco's Internet Communications Software Group's (ICSG) customer contact software platform, networking infrastructure, and products and solutions from Cisco's ecosystem of technology partners.

As a Cisco Gold Partner with IP/Telephony Specialization, NEC BNS will sell and deploy Cisco's Customer Contact software platform, which delivers an open software platform consisting of best-in-class products and technologies, on which customers deploy their applications of choice including Web, phone, chat, VoIP, IVR, fax and e-mail applications.
