Sylvia Summers-Dubrevil Joins Cisco Systems as Group Vice President, Public Access Managed Network Services Group

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 4, 2000 - Cisco Systems, Inc. today announced the appointment of Sylvia Summers-Dubrevil as group vice president, Public Access Managed Network Services Group (PAMNSG). Summers joins Cisco from Storage Technology Corporation in Louisville, Colorado.

The Public Access Managed Network Services Group is developing Cisco's modular multiservice access platform solutions for a variety of markets, including integrated voice/data branch office environments, dial-up applications, service provider management applications, virtual-private networks (VPNs), and CLEC solutions.

"Sylvia brings to Cisco more than 20 years of high-tech management experience ranging from semiconductors to systems to networking, coupled with a deep understanding of international markets," said Kevin J. Kennedy, senior vice president, Cisco's Service Provider Line of Business. "This new group structure will continue to service enterprise customers while expanding Cisco's presence in the service provider market."

Previously, Sylvia served as vice president and general manager of the Multiplatform Group at Storage Technology Corporation. Prior to Storage Technology, Sylvia held senior-level management positions in systems businesses at Bull, Thomson CSF, and Matra. Sylvia began her career in the semiconductor industry, serving in engineering, reliability, research and project management for companies such as Texas Instruments, Motorola and the David Sarnoff Research Center.

Sylvia holds a BSEE from the Ecole Polytechnic in France, an MSEE from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the management program at Thomson CSF in France.
